The Start of a Beautiful Friendship

I first met Dannah in 2017 when I was training to become a birth doula. Dannah, a dedicated birth worker, immediately struck me with her passion and commitment to serving others. Her warmth and kindness are evident immediately upon meeting her. Meghan, her partner, is equally compassionate and works as a teacher, dedicating her life to shaping young minds. Together, they form a perfect pair, each bringing out the best in the other. Their love story is one of devotion, mutual respect, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. This beautiful journey culminated in their stunning summer 2023 wedding at Froggsong Gardens on Vashon Island, a location that holds deep significance for them both.

A Garden Wonderland at Froggsong

Meghan’s roots run deep in Vashon Island, making it the ideal setting for their wedding celebration. The choice of Froggsong Gardens was perfect, as the venue transformed into a garden wonderland for their big day. The lush greenery and vibrant hydrangeas created a breathtaking backdrop, setting the stage for a truly magical event. The gardens, with their enchanting beauty, perfectly reflected the love and joy that Dannah and Meghan share. Every detail meant to create an atmosphere of romance and natural elegance. The heartfelt moments only complement the garden’s beauty, making it a day to remember.

The Adorable Ring Bearer

One of the most charming and memorable moments of the day was when the couple’s dog took on the role of ring bearer. Their furry friend stole the show, captivating guests with his adorable presence and playful antics. It was a touching and personal touch that added a layer of warmth and affection to the ceremony. The sight of their beloved pet trotting down the aisle, carrying the rings with pride, brought smiles and happy tears to everyone’s faces. It was a perfect example of how Dannah and Meghan incorporated elements of their everyday lives into their special day, making it uniquely their own.

Celebrating LGBTQ Pride

A fabulous drag performer, Kennedy Colby, added an extra layer of joy and significance to the day. Kennedy’s performances during the cocktail hour and before the first dance were vibrant and entertaining, providing a delightful mix of fun and heartfelt moments. This inclusion was a poignant reminder of the progress made and the importance of celebrating love in all its forms. It was a powerful way to honor their identity and community, making the celebration even more meaningful and memorable. The guests were moved and delighted by these performances, which added a unique and unforgettable flair to the festivities.
