Fall. Weddings. Fall weddings! I love, love, love fall weddings. There’s something extra perfect about the low sunshine and crisp air that puts everybody in the best mood. Add a bride with pink hair, the most beautiful flower arrangements, and a cake with a twist (keep scrolling for the cutest surprise!) and you have the perfect amount of wedding magic.
Ellen and Dave hosted their closest loved ones at the quaint and quirky Guemes Island Resort in September, and I’ve been swooning over their photographs ever since. Saying their vows with the Puget Sound as their backdrop, their quintessential PNW wedding came together flawlessly. My girl Lauren at Flying Anchor Event Design always goes above and beyond for her couples, but the amount of character and charm she helped these two infuse their offbeat and intimate wedding with is astounding. If you’re getting married in 2018, do yourself a huge favor and recruit Lauren to be your immensely talented right hand lady. You won’t regret the peace of mind that comes with having her on your team!
I don’t know where to start with this beautiful Sedona fete. Krystina and Bob are both actors based out of New York, but their hearts are back in Arizona where Krystina grew up. Their wedding was the perfect excuse for their friends and loved ones to make the trek to the southwest for a relaxed and elegant affair. The red rocks of the desert made a spectacular backdrop for their intimate ceremony, and once the sun went down everyone cut loose with the most stellar dance party. The amount of love their day put out into the universe is remarkable.
Truth time, you guys! I love my summer weddings to the moon and back, but nothing takes the cake like fall weddings here in Seattle. They’ll always be my absolute favorite. Nancy and Christina’s big day was no exception! These two had the most beautiful ceremony overlooking the Seattle skyline from Alki beach last month with their dearest friends and loved ones witnessing their personal and intimate vows to one another. Once the deal was sealed with a kiss and the paperwork was signed they partied their hearts out with a SILENT DISCO! Their dream team of vendors (all of us being orchestrated by Lauren at Flying Anchor Event Design) pulled off an elegant and timeless affair overflowing with surprise and delight.

Remember these two?! Somehow their amazing weather luck held strong throughout their brunch wedding at McCormick Woods and brought with it some magical light. There’s something really delightful about locking it down before noon and celebrating with champagne toasts (Megan’s sister CRUSHED it with an original rap ode to the couple…) and donut towers. Donut towers. It does not get better than this!
